Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], September 24 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday said that the decision to subsidize electricity bills has been taken, as per a CMO release.

CM Dhami said that this will reduce the financial burden on the citizens of the state and encourage proper consumption of energy and consumers of mountainous snow-clad areas will get special relief.
On Saturday, Dhami announced that the Uttarakhand government will offer a 50 per cent subsidy on electricity bills for consumers using up to 100 units per month
In the high Himalayan regions, this limit will be extended to 200 units.
Dhami said that the Uttarakhand government is committed to providing economic security to the weaker sections of society.
