New Delhi [India], December 5 (ANI): Amid violence against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Hema Malini on Thursday urged the central government to provide security to Krishna bhakts and Sanatani brothers in Bangladesh, stressing that the issue was more a matter of emotions than foreign policy.
Speaking to ANI, BJP MP Malini said, “We raised the issue of Bangladesh yesterday. I have demanded from my government to provide security to Krishna Bhakts and all Sanatani brothers in Bangladesh… This is not a matter of foreign policy, it is a matter of sentiments of Krishna bhakts.”
Violence against minority communities is on the rise in Bangladesh, with attacks intensifying after the arrest of priest Chinmoy Krishna Das. However, attacks on Hindus began soon after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina’s government in August.
