Bhadradri Kothagudem (Telangana) [India], September 13 (ANI): Bhadradri Kothagudem Superintendent of Police Rohit Raju inaugurated the newly relocated She Teams and AHTU (Anti-Human Trafficking Unit) offices in the old Chunchupalli Police Station building in Kothagudem town.
SP Rohit Raju stated that She Teams, a special division established by the Telangana State Police under TGWSW, aims to curb crimes against women and ensure justice for them.
He mentioned that women facing ragging, eve-teasing, blackmailing or other issues can directly approach the District She Teams. Women can reach out to She Teams by calling the number 8712682131, and their complaints will be kept completely confidential. Upon receiving a complaint, the offender will be summoned to the She Teams office, where counselling will be provided in the presence of their parents. Depending on the situation, a case may be registered against the accused.

He encouraged girls and women to contact She Teams without hesitation if they face any problems. She Team personnel will patrol crowded areas like railway stations, bus stands and colleges to prevent mischief by troublemakers.
The AHTU (Anti-Human Trafficking Unit) is a specialised division set up to prevent human trafficking, which includes trafficking for organ sale, forced labour, prostitution, and child marriages.
AHTU will conduct awareness programmes across the district to prevent such crimes. SP Rohit Raju mentioned that She Teams and AHTU personnel will patrol areas in plain clothes where crimes are likely to occur.
In the past year, the She Teams and AHTU have registered over 47 cases, 47 petty cases (caught red-handed) and conducted 92 awareness programs across various police stations in the district. (ANI)
