Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], April 18 (ANI): The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Pratibha Singh has said that the party has scheduled a day-long meeting in Shimla to devise the strategies for Mandi Parliamentary Constituency.
She said that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will preside over the meeting tomorrow in Shimla and expressed her gratitude that the party has filed a young candidate Vikramaditya Singh from Mandi.
“The Mandi Parliamentary Constituency people had allowed me to be the MP, I have been among the people and tried to understand and resolve the issues and problems of the people. I visited all areas as MP including the Pangi-Bharmaur area, Kinnaur, and other parts of the segment. I tried to distribute the MP fund equally in all 17 Assembly segments of the PC. I visited twice to them, our objective is to help and resolve the problems of people.,” Said Pratibha Singh.
She expressed hope that the Congress candidate from Mandi will also win the Lok Sabha Elections.
“Now the Party High Command has decided to field Vikramaditya from Mandi. I am happy that they have given this responsibility to a youth candidate. He shall soon go for the campaign in the field. We have scheduled a meeting for the Mandi Parliamentary Constituency for tomorrow. The Chief Minister has called our responsible leaders from the constituency,” she said.
“People of the area know that Congress party and personally late Virbhadra Singh ji has worked for the development of people and area, I also got an opportunity to get a chance to get elected thrice as MP from Mandi. We shall continue the development and I am sure people will vote for us and elect us,” added Pratibha Singh.
Singh further informed that the party will finalize two more candidates for the remaining Kangra and Hamirpur Lok Sabha seats.
“It’s good that she (Kangana Ranaut) is visiting places for her campaign, it is her duty and responsibility as the BJP has given her the ticket. We don’t need to be bothered by that, we already have visited those places. We don’t need to give our introduction to the people. They know us and have always been with us. I hope this time also, they will vote for our candidates and send them to the Parliament. We shall soon finalize our candidates for Hamirpur and Kangra, said Singh. (ANI)
